Below Zero Cryotherapy Services

Rejuvenation and Recovery for the Whole Body

Cryotherapy involves exposing the body to extremely cold temperatures to help recover and rejuvenate the body as a whole.  This 3 minute wellness treatment uses temperatures as low as -230 degrees Farenheit to help activate the body's natural recovery process.  It is used for professional athlete's recovery, chronic pain management, and for your every day aches and pains.

Localized Cryotherapy

Restoring Localized Tissue and Muscle Damage

Localized Cryotherapy uses sub-zero nitrogen cooled air to target a specific area of the body for pain relief and helps to reduce inflammation, while promoting the body's natural healing process.

Below Zero Facial

Helps Reduce Fine Lines and Wrinkles While Promoting Collagen

A Below Zero Facial uses vaporized liquid nitrogen to create a non-invasive, pain-free, cryogenic treatment that reduces the signs of aging, acne, and inflammation.

What is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy, taken from the Greek word, “cryo” meaning cold and “Therapeia” for therapy dates back further than we think. Cold therapy has been used to treat inflammation and help with pain management since the beginning of time. As the years have passed by, it has become more modernized not only for athletic injuries but also to help treat everyday aches and chronic pains. Between the temperatures of -180 to -230 degrees Farenheit, Cryotherapy also helps to promote a faster metabolism aiding in weightloss, boosts energy levels and promotes collagen for a youthful appearance.

What type of Equipment is used for Full Body Cryotherapy?

Here at Below Zero, we use an XR Cryotherapy Chamber.  It surrounds your body up to your neck, with extremely cold, non-toxic nitrogen vapors.  This dry chill allows you to experience a pleasant cooling sensation, unlike the bone-chilling feeling of an ice-bath.

Is Cryotherapy Safe?

Your safety is our top priority. Our Cryotherapy treatments can never exceed 3 minutes. They are equipped with built-in pulse-oxygen sensors, ultrasonic head sensors, ambient oxygen sensors and door safety sensors, and rely on a trained technician to be present to keep the session progressing in 30 second intervals.

Compression Therapy

Compression Therapy is used to enhance blood flow, flush edema, decrease lactic acid buildup, and speed up recovery time by using three key techniques--pulsing, distal release, and gradients--all to maximize your recovery. From a hard workout to swelling due to an injury, the NormaTec equipment is a valuable tool to help in recovery. At Below Zero Cryotherapy, we have attachments for the hip, legs, and arms.  Check out the types of Pulse Patterns Below!

Normatec Pulse Massage Pattern

How it Works

Created by a physician bioengineer (MD, PhD) to enhance blood flow and speed recovery, NormaTec Pulse Massage Pattern employs three key techniques to maximise your recovery:

PULSING: Instead of using static compression (squeezing) to transport fluid out of the limbs, Sequential Pulse Technology uses dynamic compression (pulsing). Normatec's patented pulsing action more effectively mimics the muscle pump of the legs and arms, greatly enhancing the movement of fluid and metabolites out of the limbs after an intense workout.

GRADIENTS: Veins and lymphatic vessels have one-way valves that prevent fluid backflow. Similarly, NormaTec Pulse Technology uses hold pressures to keep fluids from being forced in the wrong direction. Because of this enhancement, instead of tapering pressure off, the PULSE and PULSE PRO can deliver maximum pressure in every zone.

DISTAL RELEASE: Because extended static pressure can be detrimental to the body’s normal circulatory flow, Sequential Pulse Technology releases the hold pressures once they are no longer needed to prevent backflow. By releasing the hold pressure in each zone as soon as possible, each portion of the limb gains maximal rest time without a significant pause between compression cycles.
